Celebrating Women's History Month and Women in Construction Week
In celebration of Women's History Month and Women in Construction Week, we honor Sarah Craft for her integral role at Kramer Companies.
Sarah attended and graduated from Pensacola Christian College with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. Sarah's college experience was one of a kind, as she endured the destruction caused by Hurricanes Ivan and Katrina, both of which had a profound impact on the region. Unable to leave, Sarah stayed in Florida and took part in the cleanup activities both on her campus and in the community. After graduation, Sarah returned to Indiana where she then married and pursued her interest in Marketing.
In 2015, when Sarah stepped into Kramer Companies, she wasn’t sure what to expect. While she was interested in the world of Marketing, Dan Sulkoske the founder of the business, saw a much greater potential in her. He was impressed with her eloquence and how she articulated Kramer’s business model. At that time, Dan had spent the previous 17 years elevating Kramer’s reputation to be the only reliable independent resource for clients as an Owner Representative. After several discussions, Sarah became part of Kramer Companies, and the rest was history.
Eight years later, Kramer hits the 25-year mark and Sarah has stepped into a leadership role and is now the Vice President of Operations. She is an invaluable asset to Kramer Companies and their clients; her high aptitudes have allowed her to firmly grasp the full spectrum of a very complex and opaque business. Sarah participated and graduated from Leadership Hendricks County in 2018 which furthered her excelling within Kramer Companies. Most impressively, Sarah is largely responsible for the 600% growth for Kramer seen in the last eight years.
Kramer’s mission focuses on making the design and construction business Transparent, allowing for the appropriate party to be held Accountable. Transparency and Accountability also deliver significant cost savings without sacrificing quality. Sarah rapidly became proficient at delivering on this mission across a variety of different multi-million-dollar projects and has made significant contributions to the Kramer motto of “We Are Already in Your Budget” – over $70 million dollars in cost savings to our clients.
When she isn't at work, Sarah is a busy mom, running from one soccer field to the next, attending a fitness class, or enjoying a country concert. Despite the many hats she wears, she takes it all in stride. We are proud to recognize Sarah during Women's History Month and her success as a woman in the construction industry.
